For the first time ever, Dance Is Life is bringing its signature summer series to Plaza33 located at 33rd Street and Seventh Avenue, transforming Midtown Manhattan into a joyful dance floor! Nestled between iconic skyscrapers and the pulse of city life, this new location offers a fresh, energetic backdrop for our intergenerational, communitarian dance party rooted in the rich legacy of Latin Hustle. Joined by Monday Moves and LayeRhythm, we’ll celebrate the vibrant street and club dance cultures that were born in New York and continue to evolve here—honoring the rhythm, resilience, and creativity that define our city. You don’t want to miss it!

Plaza33 was first introduced in 2015 as a temporary pedestrian plaza to reclaim congested streets for public use. Its success led to a permanent redesign in 2024 as part of a major revitalization of the Penn District. Today, it’s a lively urban space featuring seating, trees, and regular cultural programming—an oasis in the heart of Midtown Manhattan.
